MME MODEL 1200 EMG BIOFEEDBACK AMPLIFIER

The MME Model 1200 Electromyogram Biofeedback Amplifier is a portable, battery powered instrument used for measuring the electrical signals associated with muscle activity. An audible output is provided together with a large easily read meter. As a result of much research and development, an instrument has been produced that has superior performance and reliability, combined with simplicity of operation. It has high sensitivity, with variable gain and threshold controls, and very good noise rejection circuitry to reduce interference to an absolute minimum.

EMG biofeedback has proved to be very effective in relaxation training, eg. relieving tension headaches, reducing stress, and in developing good work practices aimed at reducing the risk of RSI and related problems.

Another major application is in the retraining of weakened or paralyzed muscles resulting from trauma or disease and in the rehabilitation of stroke victims.
